The Ghanaian music industry makes me state-Tinny
Ghanaian Musician, “Tinny” has expressed his disdain over what he terms as a “sad” Ghanaian music industry.
According to the “Makola Kwakwe” musician the stagnant nature of the industry as a whole brings him more sorrow than joy.
“I’m so sad about it (Music Industry). Do you think the industry is growing? I don’t believe it is”.
Tinny believes that the seeming improvement in the Industry is nothing but the works of individual artiste who make endless efforts to better their music career.
“It is the individual artiste who are doing well and not the industry. Edem is forcing, Sarkodie, Samini, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and the rest but not the industry. The industry is not helping us.”
On ways to revamp the industry, Tinny Known in Real life as Nii Addo Quaynor believes that a change in the current management of the industry as well as significant financial investment would bring the much needed growth.
Although the Ghanaian Music industry seems to have seen some level of improvement over the last few years, its current administration led by Musician Obour has continuously been under criticism over their management style which many say is doing more harm than good to the industry.
