Apple releases iOS 9.3.4
Apple has released the latest to its iOS software. The update fixes a security flaw that could have been used to take control of people’s iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
According to Apple, the update addresses the problem as one in which ‘an application may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges.’ In other words, before the update, an attacker could have virtually executed any command, including taking control of the device.
The flaw was first discovered and taken advantage of by a Chinese jailbreaking team called Pangu.
