George RR Martin’s Wild Cards Series to be developed for TV



The author of A song of Ice and Fire, the book series that was developed into the popular TV series Game of Thrones, will soon have another book series on TV.

George RR Martin’s twenty two volume science fiction, Wild Cards, will be developed for TV by Universal Cable TV who have bought the TV rights.

The series depicts a post World War II earth that is hit by a virus that kills almost every human. Those that remained were either deformed or had super powers. George RR Martin wrote it with over 30 other writers.

Martin can however be involved in the making of the TV series because of his exclusive development deal with HBO. He says that Wild Cards assistant editor and writer Melinda Snodgrass and former DC Comics and Syfy writer and producer Gregory Noveck.
