Demi Lovato sued for ‘song theft’

Demi Lovato is being sued by an indie band for allegedly sampling their songs on her ‘Confident’ bonus track, ‘Stars.’

The group, Sleigh Bells, caused a stir last year when they said that Lovato illegally sampled ‘Riot Rhythms’ and ‘Infinity Guitar.’

Demi Lovato’s producers however replied the band and said: “We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato’s song. Demi wasn’t involved with the production.”

Sleigh Bells have now moved forward to sue the singer.

They have filed a complaint with the California federal court on Monday [August 22].
