Lindsay Lohan case against GTA creators dismissed
A state appeals court in New York has dismissed Lindsay Lohan’s case against the creators of Grand Theft Auto V.
Lohan was suing Rockstar [GTA creator]’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive Software Inc, because she believed a character in Grand Theft Auto V looked like her.
Her lawyers said that the character, ‘Lacey Jonas’ is based on a picture of the star in 2007.
The court dismissed the case on Thursday, with the judges explaining, “video game’s unique story, characters, dialogue, and environment, combined with the player’s ability to choose how to proceed in the game, render it a work of fiction and satire.”
