Base storage model for iPhone 7 to be 32Gb – Analyst
Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities, who has predicting some accurate predictions on iPhone hardware in the past, has made some revelations about the iPhone 7 that will be released by Apple on Wednesday.
According to Kuo, the current rose gold, gold and silver models will remain but a dark black option will replace the space gray and there will also be a piano black option. He says that the supply of the piano black option might be limited.
The storage base model of iPhone 7 will be 32Gb. There will also be 128Gb and 256Gb variants.
The iPhone 7 Plus will have 3Gb of RAM, with the smaller 7 model getting 2GB. The dual lens camera system will also have a telephoto camera and a wide-angle camera, both with 12 megapixel sensors. The camera’s flash will also have four LEDs – two warm, two cool.
iPhone 7 will also feature IPX7 water resistance, something similar to what the Apple Watch has. It is however not clear if Apple will advertise this. There will be no headphone jack. Kuo says that Apple will put EarPod headphones with a Lightning connector in the box.
The proximity sensor will also switch to laser technology.
