Samsung stops the production of Galaxy Note 7
After multiple reports of Galaxy Note 7 devices catching fire, Samsung has finally announced that it is permanently ceasing the production of the device.
Those who own Galaxy Note 7 devices are expected to return the phones for a refund or exchange for a different Samsung phone.
“We recently readjusted the production volume for thorough investigation and quality control, but putting consumer safety as top priority, we have reached a final decision to halt production of Galaxy Note 7s,” Samsung said in a statement.
The company recalled about 2.5million phones after complaints of exploding batteries, insisting that all the replacements were safe.
However, there have been recent reports of the replace devices also cathing fire.
