The congress was originally set to be from July 4, 2016 to July 8, 2016.
It will be held at the University of Ghana.
The Young African Women Congress will revolve around four main points: economic empowerment of women, women in leadership, violence against women and girls, and female reproductive health.
Activities include keynote presentations, plenary sessions, group discussions, a career fair and presentations on personal perspectives. Others include movie night, cultural and variety night, music, poetry and a full day tour to some tourist sites in the Central Region.
The Congress is a programme that is aimed at empowering young women between the ages of 18 and 35 from across the continent. It assembles 40 astute women leaders to help achieve this aim.
