Samsung opening Note 7 exchange points in airports worldwide
Samsung is setting up booths in airports around the world where they hope to exchange Galaxy Note 7 devices. This is to stop customers from taking the ‘explosive’ devices onto flights.
The first exchange booth is reported to have appeared in South Korea, but Samsung has confirmed that they have also set up exchange booths in Australian airports.
In the statement, Samsung said, “Airline passengers will not be permitted to take a Galaxy Note7 on a flight, either switched on or turned-off. No other Samsung device is affected by this ban.”
After the launch of the Galaxy Note 7 devices, reports of the devices catching started abounding from different parts of the world. Samsung recalled the phones and later replaced them but the replacements also caught fire, forcing the company to stop production all together.
