Facebook integrates augmented reality selfie masks into live videos
Facebook has lauched augmented selfie lenses on its main app. It calls the new feature ‘Masks.’
It looks similar to the lenses in Snapchat but this time, it features on Live videos and is reported to be used to lure users and decrease self-consiousness while broadcasting.
‘Masks’ will first be rolled out to iOS users in US, UK and New Zealand, as well as public figures on Facebook Mentions for iOS.
Facebook says that the feature will come to Android and to other countries in ‘the coming months.’
