Instagram users to start shopping in the app
Instagram has started testing a feature that allows users to shop directly from the app.
The company made this announcement on Tuesday.
According to Business Insider, 20 US-based retail brands will be testing the new feature, commencing next week.
These brands include Warby Park, J.Crew and Levi’s.
The feature will have a ‘Tap here to view products’ button on the photos of the items that are being sold.
On tapping the button, the user will be able to see the names of the products in the image and their prices. The user can also click to see more details of the product and then a ‘shop now’ button that will direct them to the retailer’s website.
