Andrea Bocelli to make cameo in movie about himself
Italian singer Andrea Bocelli will make an appearance in a movie that is based on his memoir.
‘The Music of Silence,’ which is the title of the film, is also the name of his memoir.
The film revolves around his life as he grew up in Tuscany, when he went blind at age 12, then moving on to sell millions of albums.
Toby Sebastian plays Amos Bardi, who is Andrea Bocellis’ alter ego; Antonio Banderas plays his [Amos] maestro; Luisa Ranieri plays the role of his mother, Ennio Fantastichini his uncle and Jordi Molla his father.
The screenplay was written by Ana Pavignano and Michael Radford, in collaboration with andrea Bocelli.
The Music of Silence is currently filming at Cinecitta studios in Rome, where Bocelli made a guest appearance for the film, performing Puccini’s “Nessun dorma” onstage
