Apple testing curved screens in new iPhone prototypes
Wall Street Journal is reporting that Apple is testing about ten prototypes for new iPhones that could get on to the market next year.
According to the Journal, some of the prototypes could be centred around a curved screen. The curved screen is allowed by a technology called OLED.
This news means that companies that produce OLED screens will be put on the alert. Among these companies are Samsung, LG Display, Sharp and Japan Display.
The Journal also reported that Samsung will supply most of Apple’s initial OLED needs. There will, however, be other OLED iPhone screens somewhere in 2018.
