We will get better – Atsu assures Ghanaians
Ghanaian winger Christian Atsu has assured Ghanaians that the Black Stars will get better in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
The Black Stars didn’t impress in their first match in the tournament as they beat Uganda by 1-0. Andre Ayew scored the only goal of the match with a penalty.
“I keep working and keep praying to do my best. I was a bit tired but as the tournament goes on we will get better and be able to play for longer periods,” Atsu said.
“Personally I am disappointed I am not on the score sheet. I got great chances to score but the win is all that matters and we were hoping we would be able to score more than just a goal in that game.”
Christian Atsu currently plays for Newcastle in the English Championship.
