Grant calls on Ghana govt to pay Gerard Nus
Former coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Avram Grant, has asked the government of Ghana to pay the money that is owed Gerard Nus, one of his deputies.
Nus was one of those who made up Mr Grant’s backroom staff when he was Black Stars coach. Gerard has, however, been in the country for more than a month because of government’s inability to pay his allowances and bonuses. He has been housed at the Alisa Hotel since he returned from the recent AFCON.
“Gerard and Jamie did a great job, they gave their heart and the people that control the money, that is the government, must work it out and pay them,” Mr Grant told the BBC.
“Gerard should not be in Ghana and this is not just about him; Jamie and the local staff must all be paid.”
