Sustaining VGMA hype isn’t easy – Nii Ayite Hammond
The Public Relations Officer for the establishment that organises the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, Nii Ayite Hammond, says that it isn’t easy to maintain the hype around the event for a long time.
This comes after talk that the hype around the event has been increasingly going down recently.
“If you have studied the VGMA over the years this is how it runs: Publicity is high at the beginning of the year when calls for nominations are announced and when they are released,” Nii Ayite Hammond said in an interview with citifmonline.com.
“It is not easy financially to sustain hype for almost four months continuously. You need to be strategic.”
Charterhouse, a subsidiary of the Multiple Concept Group, is the entity that organises the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, with Vodafone as the headline sponsor.
The 2017 edition will take place on April 8 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
