April rerun of Wogbejeke cancelled
Heritage Theatre Series, the company that produces Wogbejeke, has announced that the rerun of the show which was scheduled for April 15 and 16 has been cancelled.
According to the company, the action was “due to circumstances beyond our control.”
This announcement was made in a statement that was signed by the writer and producer of the show, Chief Moomen.
“We are very heartbroken to disappoint all of you who are eager to see Wogbejeke and we wish to assure you that we will be working hard to bring back the play in July,” the statement said.
Wogbejeke is an exhilarating experience of music, dance and drama that re-enacts the journey and settlement of the major ethnic groups in the country.
The first edition this year staged in March and the company also did a presentation of the history of Ghana’s music at Citi FM’s Music of Ghanaian Origin [#MOGO2017] Dinner Dance.
