“Following recent developments across the country with regards to the galamsey menace which can be perfectly described as a national security concern, I think it is important for us to all add our voices and in our own small way contribute to ensuring this becomes a thing of the past. It is not only destroying our society but the human capital needed by the country to develop”, Ms Djan said.

I think it is not just about what the government is doing but how we the public figures, role models, celebrities, opinion leaders, business leaders, religious leaders and others can also assist in diverse ways to help develop the educational sector and other sectors? For me, that is the way to go and it i possible once we all stay focused and committed to the agenda”, she added.
