Court orders arrest of reggae artist


A reggae/high life artiste has got into trouble with the courts after a circuit court in Accra ordered for his arrest for failing to appear in a robbery case.

MC Morinton Kobby, whose also known as Emperor Messiah, was not in court when the case, in which he is being charged for absconding with £25,000.


His uncle, Ignatius Mensah Opoku, who is a businessman, is also standing trial in the same matter. Ignatius earlier pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit a crime and stealing £25,000 that belonged to one Deborah Kyerewa.

The court granted Ignatius Opoku bail in the sum of GhC128,000 with three sureties.
