Submissions for Golden Moview Awards Africa closed
The organisers of the Golden Movie Awards Africa (GMAA) 2017 say that they have closed submissions for the awards. The deadline for submission was extended from April 30, 2017, to May 10.
“We are glad to announce that by close of submissions on May 10, 2017, the GMAA had received films from different African countries with 44.8% more entries received this year compared to last year,” Mimi Andani (director of Golden Movie Awards Africa) has said.
“During the first two GMAA events, Nigeria topped the list of films received. However, Ghana has taken over this year with a lot of series and short films.”
Films that were submitted will be screened and shortlisted by a Selection Committee based on the awards’ criteria.
GMAA is organised by NMJ and its partners to reward excellence in the filmmaking industry in Africa and the diaspora.
