Ugandan musician sworn in as MP
Ugandan afrobeat artist Bobi Wine has been sworn in as a member of parliament.
The musician, whose real name is Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, is now the MP for Kyandodo East.
He took an oath as the rep of the area on Tuesday.
Bobi was presented with copies of the Constitution and the rules of procedure of Uganda’s Parliament are the swearing in.
He stood as an independent candidate and beat four others to get the seat.
Bobi Wine has released lots of tracks, including Abantu, Why, Kiwaani and Ensonga.
